In addition, the presentation will end with nuts and bolts feature offering practical tips and advice, like which software may work best, how to harness existing CMS technologies, and what to do if you're technology "inexperienced".

I retired from a 42-year teaching career, most of it at middle-school level, but 5 years of it doing teacher-training in Beirut, Lebanon. My best results came from interdisciplinary teaching, sometimes in a team-situation, sometimes under over-arching themes rather than categories or topics. I also employed a visual approach growing out of brain-based research on learning and memory. I've shared these experiences that effectively changed my way of teaching for the last seventeen years of my classroom life in two books published by Rowman and Littlefield. I'd love to stay in contact with teachers still actively in the classroom to keep up on what they are doing and trying, and also like to share things at my website: www.madlonlaster.com The brain files by association, so if we associate various disciplines in a classroom unit of study, we help young minds go farther and retain more.
