 OS: Windows, Mac or Unix
RAM: 512 mb
Client: Web Browser & Elluminate (follow instructions below)
Internet Connection: 56/kbs or faster
Sound card with speakers & Microphone (headset with mic is better)

How do I Access the TeachU Seminar Meeting Room?


 Once you receive an email from OLN confirming your registration for a TeachU seminar, you will be asked to create an account in the Ohio Learning Network Collaboration Suite. If you already have an account in OLN's Collaboration Suite, you do not need to create a new account, so you can skip Part 1 and go directly to Part 2.
Part 1 (Creating your Collaboration Suite Account):

(1) Go to: http://community.oln.org
(2) Click "Create an Account"
(3) Fill out the form and click "Create Account"
(4) Enter the Collaboration Suite by clicking on: http://community.oln.org/oln
(5) Click: "Join"
(6) Select your "Activity Updates" and click "Join"
(7) Click "Enter the Community"

Part 2 (Establishing and testing your connection to the Online Meeting Room):

(1) Enter the OLN Collaboration Suite: http://community.oln.org/oln
(2) Turn on your speakers and make sure your microphone is plugged in
(3) Click on "TeachU Online Seminar Series" (1st "Highlight" at the top of the page)
(4) Click on any of the Session Titles (you're just testing, so it doesn't matter which one ;)
(5) Click the green button labeled "Enter Now"
(6) "Open with JNLP file" - Click "OK" (first time only)
- Be patient and wait for the Java plug-in to load (one-time 5 mg download)
(7) Security Warning Click "Start" (first time only)
(8) License Agreement Click "I Agree" (first time only)
(9) If you are entering the meeting room a 2nd or 3rd time, just follow the simple prompts!
(10) Explore aspects of the meeting room! See your name in the "Participant Info" window! Test your microphone level.

Part 3 (Entering the Online Meeting Room the day of a seminar):

(1) At least 30 minutes before your seminar starts, enter the OLN Collaboration Suite at: http://community.oln.org/oln
(2) Click on "TeachU Online Seminar Series" (1st "Highlight" - top of the page)
(3) Click on the Session Title you want to attend
(4) Click the green button "Enter Now"
(5) Follow prompts and you're in!
(6) Test your microphone with the moderator.
(7) Enjoy the seminar and learn a lot!
